Talented local blues players packed the place where Brody Buster hosted his birthday bash on August 22 at the Grand Emporium. It was the rare birthday party that gave a present to all who attended -- namely, the opportunity to see blues-harp wizard Buster jam with plenty of esteemed collaborators. Like the B.B. King song, this was truly a "Sweet Sixteen." But this was just the icing on the cake for Buster, who enjoyed a year marked by several well-received festival appearances and outstanding sales for his albums Clearing the Smoke and Blue Devil.
