Best Chief

Tony Gonzalez

Tony Gonzalez is rapidly establishing himself as the finest tight end in the NFL. Entering his fourth season in the league, Number 88 has become a favorite target of Chiefs signal caller Elvis Grbac. The 6-foot-6 former college basketball star was a first-round NFL draft pick in 1997 out of the University of California. He had 11 touchdown grabs last season -- the most for the Chiefs and the second-most in the AFC. Gonzalez's strength, quickness, soft hands, and flair have made him a fan favorite ... and all those points don't hurt either. And his All-Pro performance in 1999 may only hint at what the budding star is capable of.
