Lacy Cornish

We won't bore you with another Lacy Cornish/Bettie Page comparison. We've decided it's not apt. Cornish's look is really more loungey and slick than Page's was. She's tall and confident, her clothing and accessories both stylish and meticulous. Her jet-black bangs are cut straight across in a line that puts even rulers to shame. She can be seen onstage baring almost all as a member of the Kansas City burlesque troupe known as the Burly-Q Girly Crew; most recently, she played a secretary who distractedly stripped instead of typing, much to the dismay of her boss, a gorilla driven mad by the sight of her unpeeling a banana. Cornish performs as Felina, which is a perfect stage name for her. Felina is seductive yet intimidating -- even scary. But the fact is, Cornish is sweet and even bookish (she works at a bookstore and leads a book discussion group), putting to rest the myth that gorgeous women must be stupid, mean or both. Cornish can also be seen in MK12's music video for Hot Hot Heat's "No Not Now"; clad in a vinyl catsuit, she steals a brain that powers a sinister amusement park, escaping the men in bunny suits who run the place by conveniently turning into smoke and then driving away in a rocket ship. She can ride our rockets anytime.
