For $7.95, Harold's serves up a plate of crispy fried chicken with either a vegetable or a slice of quiche, a choice of potato (mashed, cottage fries, french fries or baked), a salad or soup, and rolls and butter. A buck for a glass of iced tea -- which includes free refills -- and another buck for a tip, and, baby, you're in under ten. Harold's is a paradise for cigarette smokers (giant ashtrays adorn almost every table), and if you want to pretend you're Diamond Jim Brady, you can splurge a little and get a glass of Riunite Lambrusco for three more bucks. There's nothing like cheap chicken, wine and a pack of unfiltered Camels to turn an ordinary night into an evening of pure 1960s sophistication.
