Deep Fix Records isn't much to look at from outside its midtown storefront, but in the years since dance music moved from the raves to the clubs, Deep Fix has become an international institution. Wherever bodies are jacking to house music -- Nebraska, Belgium, South Africa, Chicago, Brazil -- chances are the DJs there are customers at Deepfixrecords.com. Deep Fix offers same-day shipping, too, so DJs on either coast can order their vinyl on Wednesday and have it in time to slap on the decks come Friday. With such efficiency, it's easy to forget that Deep Fix is maintained by four young guys who just love music: owners Joey Carr, Dave Duckworth and Chris DiGirolamo, and sole employee Matt Reardon. The guys also keep house music alive in Kansas City with Frisky Fridays, an internationally recog nized dance party at Kabal.
