Bob Smith doesn't just stand guard at the Tivoli to make sure you bought a ticket. He wants to make sure that the traffic flow in and out of the movie theater runs smoothly and that audience members end up where they need to be when they need to be there -- and no sooner. The handsome former model's small talk, storytelling and humble observations transform the Manor Square hallway from a place for impatiently waiting in line into a place for saying hello and lingering. But Smith isn't just warm and friendly. He's out to do his job well, and anyone who doesn't respect the need for order is asking for trouble. Bob wants to make sure the theaters are clean before people enter, and he has no problem gently but firmly reprimanding those who argue with his insistence that they wait. (As he told one man who whined about needing to use the restroom, "I'm 75 years old, and my prostate is bigger than your head. You can hold it.") In spite of his insistence that all rules be followed, patrons love Bob. Many of them look forward to seeing Bob as much as they look forward to seeing the movie.
