Ordering drinks on the rocks is recommended at Vivace, because the cocktails can be pretty stiff. But in a larger sense, everything is on ice at this swanky River Market stop, at least for those fortunate enough to grab a stool at the ice-top bar. A wonder of modern refrigeration technology, the ice bar even changes colors, providing absorbing entertainment for those nights when your companion isn't a compelling conversationalist. You could even roll slushballs or go Zamboni with the staff squeegee, though it doesn't take long for the bartenders to end such ice capades.
