Best Ensemble in a Miss
A ... My Name Will Always Be Alice
Though this feminist-slanted musical revue skewed toward the obvious or the syrupy, playing like the most-talked-about show of 1979, the May run of A ... My Name Will Always Be Alice starred the most talented female cast ever corralled on Quality Hill's stage. Teri Adams, Cathy Barnett, Deb Bluford, Nancy Marcy and Stephanie Nelson collectively carried pounds of life-support equipment, saving every sketch and number. The women were alternately quirky, witty and stirring.
