The Kansas City Flag Football League offers men and women a chance to explore the nuances of this country's pastime in real time, in a competitive but welcoming environment. Does one team feature former Missouri quarterback Corby Jones and a collection of hyper-athletic freaks? And did that team recently clobber a team of newcomers 63-12? Well, yes. But they were damn nice about it, and so was the league commissioner, who patiently helps rookies and first-year teams through the process.
