There's sort of a cliché for gay bars: loud dance music, lots of primped boys and girls, maybe a drag performance here or there. The Fox does its own thing. Yeah, the Overland Park bar attracts its share of attractive clientele, but on the average Friday night, there are just as many guys at the bar wearing flannel shirts and faded jeans. It's nice to know that there are clubs out there where you can go straight from work and still not have to worry about standing out. The music, though plenty serviceable if you want to shake it, is low enough that you can actually have a conversation. And it'll just get better. The bar is undergoing a serious renovation and expansion that's supposed to be completed by the end of this year.
