At the time, no one knew that Frogpond's April gig at the Internet-site-sponsored schmooze-fest Ant Eye Social would be one of its last, but with women in alien costumes lactating liquor from their nipples, a bikini-clad beauty surrounded by food in a "human buffet," and various other oddities on display at The Granada, this event certainly made for a surreal farewell to this beloved trio. In lieu of a goodbye tour, this show allowed Frogpond to wave goodbye to fans in several cities simultaneously; it was Web-cast live to Atlanta, Toronto, and other locations. Musically, it was an inspired performance, as the group, perhaps motivated by its multistate audience, played its poppy tunes faster and louder than usual.
