The artists in Locate/Navigate mapped how we map — places, things, people, ideas and the banalities of conversation. Thoughtfully curated by Kate Hackman, this was a densely packed exhibition that remained on task, each artist's work fitting specifically within Hackman's curatorial thesis. A wide variety of artists examined visual and aural experiences (such as sounds from an Italian church). Subject matter was as intimate as rumpled bedsheets and as public as 117 miles of freeway, providing a wide range of conceptual, physical and emotional experiences.
