There's a fabulous turnout on St. Paddy's Day, but despite all attempts, Harling's Upstairs doesn't really pull off the Irish image for which it strives. Though the cavernous bar boasts a healthy selection of ales, and musician Jonathon Ramsey fakes his accent to epic proportions, the place never truly transports its patrons to Dublin. The closest we get to that journey is with the alluringly reserved Matthew Mooney. He seems to be on some sort of hiatus at the moment, but the management at Harling's promises he'll be back. We're looking forward to letting him take our drink orders in his brusque brogue and coaxing him into conversation on slow nights. We like hearing stories about his homeland and his family -- just parents and siblings, because he's unmarried. For now, anyway ...
