Avondale, Enormous Black Power Gift

In a truly fine year for area album art, Avondale outdid worthy contenders, such as Holstein, Boko Maru, and The Secondhands, with its cover for Enormous Black Power Gift. This unique, intricately constructed cardboard case features stark black images that are complemented by subtle silver accents. And, as an added treat for art connoisseurs who wish to take this disc home, the music's quite good as well. --AM
