Back when Shomari Benton and David Lloyd were grinding away at one of the largest corporate law firms in Kansas City, their fellow attorneys made fun of their style: three-piece suits, pocket squares and impeccable shoes. Now Benton and Lloyd are the ones laughing, from the other side of the counter at Method, the menswear store that they opened this year. (McClain Bryant, another friend and fellow lawyer, is the store's third co-founder.) The clean, spare space features work by local artists and shelves piled high with the latest offerings from youthful-yet-classic lines, such as WeSC and Jeremy Argyle. They also carry a small selection of purses and jewelry for women, but it's mostly about men here.
