There's Something About Mary on mute to give weekend revelers a little extra visual stimulation, it has allowed Steve Tulipana to host Monday Movie Madness, which unearthed cult classics such as
Supervixens and
Flesh Gordon Meets the Cosmic Cheerleaders. The room has also hosted its share of spinners, with DJs dealing in electroclash, soul or house music, depending on the night. So this venue was uniquely qualified to fuse the two during its Music Film Festival in March. The two elements didn't coexist simultaneously; instead, flicks such as
Groove and
The Decline of Western Civilization preceded thematically appropriate techno and punk-rock sets.
