Newer, fancier theaters may have opened since Cinemark's Plaza location first fired up its projectors, but none provide the same value. Ever since the Palace scaled back its ticket price to $6 — except for the day's first showings, which are even cheaper, and the 3-D tickets, which are inflated at every theater — it has become our favorite place to catch a show. Along with the budget price, it helps that the VIP screening room and its bar remain. Best of all, there are enough screens here that the Palace regularly shows some of the more talked-about indies. The popcorn isn't bad, either.
