The wide wraparound concrete patio at Maloney's Bar and Grill rules because of it's accessories: metal patio chairs that actually rock like cool lounge chairs and huge umbrellas to block out the sun of summer. The entire area is wired with a kick-ass sound system that blasts party anthems, and at night the area is bathed in a chilly glow from old Overland Park's vintage streetlamps. For some reason, the place also has a perpetual breeze, making you feel like you're in the tropics, not a roasting slab in mid-America. The place is also canine-friendly, meaning you can sometimes spot a pooch panting beside its owner on the warm concrete — a symbolic message that this is the place to beat the dog days of summer.
