Way back, looooong ago, when we were somewhere between a fish and an ape, we probably had tails. But apparently we never used them much, because they've retreated into our hips over the course of evolution, making us the sleek Homo sapiens we are today. But we must confess a little tail envy. Thus, we settle for the next best thing. No, not a cheesy strap-on or mascot suit. We prefer long, flowing kite tails, which we score at Wind Wizards. (Added bonus: Kites also assuage our little "ain't got no wings" problem.) Since 1991, the folks at Wind Wizards have been filling KC's tail deficit with hundreds of varieties of fluttering kites -- sport kites, deltas, soft-form parafoils, Rokkakus and even ones crafted in funky plane, bird and animal shapes, each of them adorned with that one thing we've been missing our whole lives.
