Forget everything negative you have heard about Swope Park, because it is still the best place in town for a picnic. Lakes, cathedral-like wooded hills, and nature trails await the curious on their after-feed constitutionals. Activities at the park include fishing, golf, the Lakeside Nature Center, the Kansas City Zoo, some of the best disc golfing in the Midwest, and just plain old loafing. --PD
