What grown-up wouldn't want to get down on all fours, shoot some marbles and pretend to be eight again? On designated days, Moon Marble Company owner Bruce Breslow invites adults and kids alike to his shop, where for $5 they can watch him make marbles by melting and shaping glass. Then he teaches them classic marbles games like Ringer, Pyramids, Dropsies and Marble Knock Out (a game he created). Participants get to choose a set of marbles to take home. In his store, Breslow has more than a million marbles of all different types. "I started making them years ago, when I went to some local stores to buy marbles and all they had were those green cat's-eyes from Taiwan. I wanted all the different kinds and colors we had in the '50s," Breslow says.
