Goalie Tony Meola is more than a name to toss up on the marquee to get fans in the seats. Meola's goaltending has been nothing short of magical since he arrived in KC in 1999. His 16 shutouts led the MLS in the 2000 season; he allowed less than a goal per game on his way to being voted the league's MVP. The Wizard in front of the net played a key role in the team's western division title and its victory in the MLS championship game.
