No other professional athlete in Kansas City generates a buzz like David Glass' golden goose, Zack Greinke. The Royals hurler gave hope to the long-suffering fans of the boys in powder blue that this year was going to be different. Greinke piled up wins and strikeouts with a breathtaking ERA. But the bottom fell out. The losses started to catch up to all the wins, marginalizing Greinke's breakout season. Still, Greinke put asses in what surely would have been empty seats, exorcised his demons, and left us wondering if next year finally will be the year that the Royals start winning again.
