For an Irish pub, it's hard to get any more blessed than having a wood floor imported from a church in Ireland. O'Dowd's is full of pub staples: stained-glass windows, murals and handcrafted woodwork. We know the place gets a little meat-markety, located as it is in the heart of the Country Club Plaza. But after nine years, it's still a fine spot for an afternoon pint, especially on the rooftop patio. O'Dowd's was voted No. 8 on Tom Horan's "America's Top 10 Irish Establishments." (Horan's Web site outlines the criteria and assures us that no one pays to get on his list.) We'll drink to that. Let's get pissed.
