Their screams echo across the park: "O-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-h-h-h-h-h-h S-s-s-s-h-h-h-h-h-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-t-t-t-t-t-t-t!!!!!!!" Those daring enough (and wealthy enough -- its price isn't included in a Worlds of Fun day pass) to brave the RipCord are strapped into a body harness attached to a long cable, then slowly pulled backward, like a pendulum, until they hang 180 feet above the ground. All at once they fly 80 miles an hour toward the ground, then rise on the pendulum's upswing. After a few moments of swinging, riders land in the arms of helpers who unbuckle them and direct them, if necessary, to the nearest restroom.
