Kevin Kietzman is ballsy. As a one-man army against the stadium tax last November, he never sounded like the crazy guy wearing a placard and predicting doomsday. He even pimped the guys from SaveOurOwners.com, a mock-news Web site put up by a trio of supposedly filthy-rich aristocrats to express their support for the dollar-deprived owners of the Chiefs and the Royals. It's this type of thing that makes his contrarian voice so refreshing. He sounds off with sometimes unpopular views on the sacred cows: the Chiefs, the Royals and even his station's reporters. When one of his co-workers was one of two reporters to lose credentials for asking tough questions at a Royals press conference, Kietzman took the team's side. Good sports-talk hosts should let loose, and Kietzman does it daily.
