Best Stage Presence

Liz Nord, Sister Mary Rotten Crotch

Sister Mary Rotten Crotch's Liz Nord can immediately captivate audiences with her playful, risqué dance moves and her intense delivery. And movement in the crowd increases noticeably after Nord's customary quip, "It's all right, you all can dance" -- fans seem reluctant to do anything except stand in rapt attention until she presents this verbal permission slip. Nord always ends up drenched in sweat, and she's usually gasping for air between songs, but she never loses her gruff vocal edge, her command of the stage, and, for that matter, her control over the entire club.
