Sometimes you want to have a drink somewhere new. And when that urge hits, we'd like to humbly suggest Lenexa as your barhopping ground. Start your night out at Jerry's Bait Shop at 13412 Santa Fe Trail, where you can usually see a band for a $3 cover. Between the patio and the small, wooden tables indoors, it's as good a place as any to start your night. Part of the fun of a Lenexa trip is wandering around without a map, looking for the next drink. We wouldn't presume to tell you which bars to hit for numbers two, three and four, but we do think it's in your best interest to finish the night at Side Pockets, at the corner of Pflumm and 87th Street Parkway. Shooting pool here will give you a safe, fun way of testing whether your motor skills are coordinated enough to drive (the answer is probably no), and the place serves bar food that would taste good even if you were sober.
