For those who occasionally wake up thinking they need a pumice stone, purple camouflage pants, and a chain wallet with a marijuana leaf: These items can be found under one roof. The place is Mickey's Surplus, a windowless building in the Argentine section of Kansas City, Kansas. In addition to Army and Navy surplus items, Mickey's has racks of clothing from Dickies, Carhartt and other brands preferred by working people (and people who like to look like working people). The boot selection is tremendous, and the camping room ensures that forays into nature don't suffer from lack of equipment. Places like Bass Pro offer a lot of the same items. But Mickey's, with its camo panties stamped with "booty camp" on the rump, doubles as an impulse buyer's paradise.
