Jeopardy meets dodgeball, Trivia Riot rewards the factoid-fluent while offering the opportunity to bombard the esoteric-information-impaired. Teams answer questions on current events and geography, play name-that-tune with television-show theme songs and dig deep for pop-culture obscurities. When stumped, players can "riot" another team; if the other squad is similarly clueless, the riot initiators double the points they would have received for a correct answer. The weekly cash payouts usually come down to the final question, often a sports-related puzzler designed to baffle a participant base that's not especially athletically inclined.
