Against a blue wall specked with oval mirrors rests a collection of large elegant books, lending the wine an intellectual air. Downstairs, the cellar is stocked with more than 100 bottles handpicked by wine director Jeremy Lamb. A considerably smaller selection is had by the glass, but Lamb changes it constantly with his obsessions du jour, and each by-the-glass wine is also available by the quartino. The lounge makes this swankiness possible for all income levels with its weekday happy hours, where bottles of wine are 30 percent off and food is half-price.
