Better Than Ezra

If you've been cursing Kansas City's icy side streets this winter, just imagine trying to navigate a treacherous course on a motorcycle. Arenacross, an often-forgotten sport, returns with shows at 7:30 tonight and 10 a.m. Sunday at an equally often-forgotten local venue — Kemper Arena (1800 Genessee). Arenacross consists of off-road motorcycles racing on dirt tracks arrayed with obstacles, steep jumps and tight turns. Back in the saddle today is 1994 Supercross champion Ezra Lusk, in his first competition since he retired. The other drivers vie to best Lusk while avoiding the dreaded health-insurance copayment. Tickets are $20-$25 for adults and $10 for kids both days. Call 800-745-3000 for details.
