Bobby Baker's, like many other Waldo bars, attracts a younger, fresher crowd these days. It's still thoroughly divey, with its low-hanging Tiffanyesque bar lamps, swivel chairs, mirrored walls and come-hither banquettes occupied by older neighborhood regulars. But nowadays, hip martinis are offered in addition to the usual Old Crow and vodka-tonic requests. — Charles Ferruzza
