An intimate, cozy space in downtown Bonner Springs, the two-year-old Bottle 12 Wine Bar offers a chance to sample the flavors of the world's great wine regions. The bar gets its name from the 12 varieties of reasonably priced, ever-changing wine "on tap" behind the bar. (It also has an extensive reserve wine list.) The staff and patrons are friendly and welcoming, and on the nights that resident sommelier Andy Hagen is behind the bar, he'll happily show off some of his latest acquisitions. But while Bottle 12 is a haven for wine lovers, it manages to avoid pretension or exclusivity. Every Thursday, both burgeoning and experienced wine drinkers are invited to tastings, complete with cheese, crackers and grapes.
