Brant Bjork and the Brothers

Wednesday, March 24, at the Hurricane.

Former Kyuss drummer Brant Bjork is kind of a dilettante, but at least he's dedicated to it: He left Queens of the Stone Age to continue doing his own thing, which includes ax work in Che, pounding skins for the badass Mondo Generator, and his own solo work. The psych vibe of Kyuss is given fuller play by Bjork and his Brothers, but he packs in so much else that this should appeal far beyond the stoned alone. He can bloom from crunch to funk to quicksilver new wave in a single song. If what he's doing right this second doesn't rock you, the thing he's doing next certainly will.
