This fast-growing Ohio-based restaurant chain managed a kind of culinary miracle when it took over the ugly, poorly positioned site of an ill-fated microbrewery at the back of Town Center Plaza. The young, well-trained servers are nearly as pretty as the over-the-top deécor, and everything on the menu has a surprising visual flair. Here, its possible to indulge a passion for decadently rich pasta — the lasagna Bologonese weighs a pound and a half — or expertly grilled meats at reasonable prices, which is why the place is a hit with the value-conscious suburban crowd. (The wait for a dinner table can be as long as an hour on weekends.) Not everything on the menu is sensational — the signature dishes are the least interesting — but for such a high-volume operation, theres a lot of attention to detail. — Charles Ferruzza
