The slightly more sophisticated and expensive cousin of the suburban Bravo restaurants (theyre owned by the same Ohio-based company) is also the noisiest dining room on the Country Club Plaza. The biggest differences between the two restaurant concepts are that Brio offers brunch (on both Saturdays and Sundays) and that there are a couple of signature Brio dishes (such as crab cakes and carpaccio) on its menu. The deécor is theatrical, the service entertaining and the portions, as they say in Rome, molto grande. — Charles Ferruzza

An over priced Olive Garden, with no salad, unless you spend an extra $4.00, and not all you can eat. Waitress never refilled water glasses. Very noisy environment. Waitress had poor demeanor, not what is expected for a supposedly upscale restaurant. Didn't place silverware properly, actually just threw it on the table haphazardly. When asking about a table cloth, we were told only used if you have a special occasion. A positive, food served quickly. Shoe string potatoes with salmon, cheapened the meal and presentation. Any one who thinks this is a 3-5 star place to eat has never experienced a 4 or 5 star restaurant. Service was far below par.
Will not go back.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the Plaza and dined at Brio. We decided to take our time for dinner and ordered an appetizer and shared a bottle of wine. When it came time to order our meal we both requested whole grain penne. Our dinner came with the wrong noodles and it was no big deal but our waitress took our food back and apologized several times.
We decided to exchange cards and the manager, Matthew, came to apologize for the mistake and he said our food would be out soon and that they would not charge us for our meal. We were very appreciative! Within a few minutes later he came back with 2 glasses of champagne and said "no anniversary is complete without a little bubbly!". We couldn't believe it, we're just a young normal couple enjoying our anniversary dinner. Our food came and it was delicious! Our waitress, Amy, came to see if there was anything else we needed.
My husband said we were ready for the check and she said that it was ALL taken care of. My eyes started to tear up-I was blown away by their service (and food!). So we had a bottle of wine, appetizer, champagne, entree and dessert all taken care of by the manager. Now, I know this is a rare occurrence and we were an exception. But because of the wonderful service our 6th anniversary was one we'll always remember and be thankful for. Thank you Brio!!!
