Spinning one's wheels isn't usually a good thing. But when smoke curls out from under them, and people are holding beers in the air and going wild while someone's car stereo is disrupting your heartbeat — well, that's fun. Today, area motorheads roll into the Kansas City International Raceway (8201 Noland Road) for a celebration of imported cars, gasoline, testosterone, beer, oil and internal combustion. NOS Energy Drinks' Import Face-Off gets under way at 11 a.m. and includes drag racing, stereo competitions, a car-and-motorcycle show, a burnout contest and even a mixed-martial-arts expo. Hooray for mandom — and for the $6,000 in prize money awaiting competition winners. The event goes until 6 p.m. Tickets for spectators start at $17.
