The Caddy Shack is one of those bars that the regulars like to keep a secret. They don’t want their beloved Columbus Park dive to be infiltrated by those who cannot handle the intensity of last-call cocktails served up with a little lip from the sassy bartendress. Neither will they appreciate nor tolerate shitty tippers, those who cannot play friendly pool games, or sloppy drunks who harass the service industry folks who stop in after their shifts. The drinks are cheap and there is late-night pizza available. Otherwise, it’s a no-frills joint with little ambience in an area that’s rife with warehouses and vacant lots, but people seem to love it – especially heavily tattooed local rock stars and the neighborhood’s Italian population.
