This casual Mexican cantina was the dream of the very Irish Marijo Goetz (her great-grandfather founded the iconic Browne’s Irish Market) and daughter, Patrice Seegar. Its name is a little deceiving because the hearty Tex-Mex here isn’t especially hot or spicy. But Goetz and Seegar wanted the Caliente Grille to be a cozy neighborhood joint serving modestly priced tacos, burritos and combination plates -- and they’ve succeeded. Fajita platters and other traditional Tex-Mex favorites are generous and flavorful, and the ambience is comfortably laid-back, with or without icy margaritas or bottles of Corona. — Charles Ferruzza
