Everybody loves Hooper's. No joke. The popular 63rd Street hangout is old enough now that the kids who accompanied their parents in the 90s are already coming home from college and moving back to Brookside. They can blame the economy all they want, but folks of all ages know they can always get a fist bump, a cheap beer or a chili dog at Charlie Hooper's seven days a week. There are two bars, multiple large-screen TVs, a covered smoking patio, and plenty of arcade video games. Daily happy-hour and nightly food and drink specials make this a good place to hook up with large groups, co-workers or no one at all. Chances are, you'll recognize at least one person who'll hook you up with a Bud Light bottle.
A friendly staff, a reliable kitchen, plenty of seating, a shuffleboard table: Hoopers gives you everything you want from a neighborhood bar with equally crowd-pleasing food. Then there are the deals. On Tuesdays, you can nab the much-beloved chicken pot pie (with salad and roll) for lss than $7, then stick around and drink $1 domestic draws until the place closes down. Cheap beer isnt your thing? There are some 150 beers from around the world, divided on the menu by country and on Wednesdays, each can be had for a mere $2.50.
