Parasites may make us squeamish, but in diverse numbers, they indicate a healthy ecosystem. Dr. Kirsten Jensen studies marine parasites, especially those that parasitize sharks and rays. For this Collections Conversation, Kirsten will show visitors a few specimens from the invertebrate zoological collections and discuss what makes parasites such interesting organisms to study. Collection Conversations are short, informal talks by research scientists about the collections that form the basis of research at the biodiversity Institute and Natural History Museum.
