Contemporary Ceramics in Israel

The Belger Arts Center (2100 Walnut, 816-474-3250) presents From the Melting Pot Into the Fire: Contemporary Ceramics in Israel, an exhibit of Israeli dimensional pieces that complements the gallery's other current dimensional exhibits. The works deal with such themes as borders, boundaries and national identity. Yael Novak of the Ceramic Artists Association of Israel gives a 6:30 p.m. gallery talk; the show runs through January 15.

Wednesdays-Fridays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Saturdays, 12-4 p.m. Starts: Nov. 5. Continues through Jan. 15, 2010
