It's easy to miss the Corner Bar on the edge of downtown Liberty. Its nondescript exterior has signage that reads “Mexican Food” under the name of the bar, but once inside, it smells more like stale beer and Pine Sol than burritos and tostadas. (There’s a kitchen, but a patron said food is only served twice a week.) On the bar's only TV, Family Feud or other game shows provide some entertainment alongside the lone pool table and Silver Strike machine. There’s only one kind of beer on tap, and most of the other selections are canned and come out of a huge plastic barrel filled with ice. The place is small but generally friendly, especially when some of the local blue-collar fellas are ditching work and on the lookout for college girls from William Jewell.
