Crazytalk

Friday, June 9, at Davey's Uptown.

One good thing about living in the Midwest is that rowdy, raw rock and roll will always have a niche. We cowtowners can still enjoy a gnarly guitar lick and a boilermaker, even if the folks in Brooklyn feel like the guitar solo is as dead as irony. Don't expect Olathe cockrockers Crazytalk to break out the alto sax and sheet music; just expect them to be as awesomely sophomoric as they want to be. And remember that even though Monday Night Football is no more, Hank Williams Jr. is still a hell of a lot more popular than Cecil Taylor. And for Christ's sake, stop blaming yourself for Dubya. You can always just stay drunk for the next two years. Red-state rock forever.
