Vice magazine photographer and founder of
tinyvices.com, last Friday opened an exhibit of his photography called
Everything Must Go, at the Paragraph Gallery (23 East 12th Street). Meanwhile, a traveling group exhibit of
tinyvices.com artists, curated by Barber, runs through November at la Esquina (1000 West 25th Street). And local photographer Jaimie Warren, whose goofy, candid photos have appeared in
Vice and on
tinyvices.com (and in the pages of
The Pitch), curates an exhibit at the Urban Culture Project Space (21 East 12th Street).
Slop, Swap and Shop is a group exhibit of Kansas City artists she hopes to introduce to Barber and a wider global audience. "It's kind of a swap-meet thing," Warren says. "Everything's for sale under $750, so it's an attempt to get KC collectors to buy work, and it's all displayed, salon-style, on the walls — mostly prints, drawings and photographs."
