This Dallas-based “entertainment center” is a gigantic, noisy and well-maintained combination restaurant and carnival. The menu is similar to the stuff served at other midrange, casual chain restaurants, but the service is better in the nonsmoking, tastefully appointed “main dining room” than at the tables adjoining the laid-back bar and the “Million Dollar Midway.” For those who want to mix up dinner and a night of arcade games, there are some inexpensive food-and-play packages; if a steak slathered with Jack Daniel’s barbecue sauce followed by some hot skee-ball action sounds like a winning combination, Dave & Buster’s should be heaven. — Charles Ferruzza
