Hundreds of people swarmed Nelson-Atkins Art Museum this Mother's Day weekend to catch a glimpse of Egyptian funerary pieces, including a mummy and a seven-foot inner coffin. The grand opening highlighted the craftsmanship of artisans in the ancient civilizations of the Near East, Egypt, Greece and Rome.
