The X chromosome binds together the entirety of humankind. Everybody has at least one, but only females have two in a row. This proves that women transcend gender and become integers as the Roman numeral for 20. Embrace the math and the estrogen tonight at the Eighth-Annual Lunafest
at Liberty Hall (644 Massachusetts in Lawrence).Lunafest is a collection of nine short films that explore womanhood. This year's selections include a mix of live-action and animated movies spanning several genres. The festival is sponsored by the maker of the Luna Bar and presented by 100 Good Women, a nonprofit organization serving the Lawrence community. All proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Fund and local charities. Screenings begin at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Liberty Hall box office and cost $10 for adults or $8 for students and seniors. For more information, see lunafest.org
