Final weekend of Jason Pollen's wounded/healing

This fiber exhibit showcases the work of Jason Pollen, a local artist who was the Chair of the Kansas City Art Institute Fiber Department from 1995-2010.

Due to unsuccessful corrective back surgeries, Pollen was left chronically disabled. This collection of abstract and figurative work was first created from bedside, then in a wheelchair and finally, into his studio. It chronicles his transformation from wounded to healed.

This is the final week for this exhibition.
Wed., July 6, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Thu., July 7, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Fri., July 8, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sat., July 9, 1-4 p.m.; Sun., July 10, 1-4 p.m., 2011
